Kindergarten West Campaign

Just bag distributed our first campaign, to kindergartens in the outer western suburbs of Melbourne, late February.
The bags were received by the directors/or mangers at the selected centers, which then were passed on to their parents.
Five kindergartens were involved in the western suburbs campaign, which together totaled 500 families,not bad for our first camapign.

Putting together the bags, and inserting items was lots of fun, but very time consuming, so I had to get my husband, brother & brother in law all help me, so I could finish on the deadline.
It was rewarding seeing that family are their when needed, and quite funny to as my dining room started to look like a warehouse with all the boxes, and a production line, everyone had a task. And, no I did not pay them, as my brother/& brother in law always knock my door unexpectedly, on dinner time lol, it was a win win, for all involved.

The most challenging part was delivering all the bags, because they were so heavy, but it was very rewarding once I had delivered them all. And, seeing my toddlers big smile when handing out the bags to the kinders, my little helper enjoyed visiting all the centers with mummy.

JBI want to thank all the businesses who participated and by doing so, we have listed them below, have a look and maybe you need their services, just mention this blog post, and they will happily cater for your needs.

Everyday Chefs - Chefs Toolbox

What inspired you to start your business?

I was introduced to the The Chefs Toolbox 2 1/2 years go, at a time when I was bored with cooking...and it showed. I made the same meals week in - week out, and my family were bored too. The Chefs Toolbox offered a fantastic range of versatile cookware and easy recipes too. I started to try different recipes each week, and soon had my older boys cooking too. I had found my passion again.
I had been in the home-wares Industry for 8 years, and had never heard of these products before. So of course I was skeptical at first, but after just the 1st introduction to them I was hooked. I had never come across this sort of quality before, and the hands on Masterclass Cooking Classes were a blast. I decided very quickly that i wanted EVERYTHING in the range, and the best way to get it all was to join s a consultant , and earn some extra money at the time.

What solutions do you offer?

I get to share my passion for cooking and the products that I cook with, with like minded people, and convert even those more skeptical than I was.
Often people say that they can't cook, or don't like to cook, as its too involved.  Well I can show them just how easy it is to enjoy cooking, using Fresh Food, Fabulous Products and Fun.  Our Interactive Masterclasses mean that you can try the products before you decide what to buy.

How are you different?

You cant walk into a home wares and department store and ask for  chopping board, knife and pot to cook in because you want to try it before you take it home. Well with me you can. We'll whip up a no-stir 8 minute Risotto and I dish Chocolate Brownie, or stove-top Pizza and 5 minute Golden Syrup dumplings for everyone to try. Then you can choose which item you will like to save 78% on and more (T's & C's apply)

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS...

July 19, 2013
"My first attempt at pumpkin, spinach and sweet potato frittata using the Chef's Toolbox Saute ...pan. Not only was it simple to make and ultra delicious, but the kiddies didn't seem to realize that it was full of vegetables and they devoured it. Mumma is happy!!
Thank you Melissa Jaeger for introducing me to a fabulous product xoxo

It's always great when our customers listen to our suggestions. Our silicone bake ware is fantastic for making ice cream cakes. And I just love this easy ice cream recipe.
I have had a wonderful day today in Shepparton doing two cooking parties with adorable ladies. Robyn one of the hosts made the most delicious ice-cream in the Chefs toolbox Kugelhopf to have with the 5 minute Golden Syrup Dumplings, here is t...he recipe.
Whip 600ml of thickened Cream mix in a can of condensed milk and add a roughly chopped crunchy bar and pour into Kugelhopf mould and freeze overnight.
I don't think I will ever buy ice cream again!!!

Elisa Elgstrom Photography

Elisa, tell us about your business?

specialize in natural light documentary style photography for families, children and newborns and I love it! I believe in it because it is authentic and meaningful and photographs should tell the story of your loved ones. Whether happy, sad, funny, exhausting or exhilarating. A chocolate covered mouth, a sweet hug, or the precious bath time ritual before bed. These seemingly ordinary moments are what you are more likely to emotionally connect to when you look back on them.

Why did You start a photography business?

I started my business because I believe that people are so busy these days that the precious little moments within families disappear in a flash. Wouldn't it be wonderful to look back on them in years to come and remember exactly how you were and what you felt on a typical day in your family’s life? I love helping my clients freeze these moments forever as a keepsake for generations to come.

What solutions do you offer?

I offer packages as part of my service, which makes it very easy for clients as I know how busy parents are these days. They receive digital photographs, an online gallery, images in color and B&W as well as the option of print products like photo books.

How is your photography different?

I feel that posed photography may very well have its place, but there is a new wave of image making that is hitting our streets. Real life captured just as it is. I make pictures that don’t require you to say cheese or sit in an uncomfortably awkward position. I pretty much hang out with you while I snap away and create natural light photographs of you and your loved ones while you go about your day. And that could be an image as simple as your children waiting impatiently for their next serve of Sunday morning pancakes.

HAVE YOU HEARD OF MY COTTON CUBBY?

Do you remember as child throwing a blanket over the dining room table, taking in a few toys or beloved possessions, sometimes the family dog or cat? How much fun was that!!!
How many hours of make-believe were spent in these secret, yet simple home-made structures? Is your child getting this magical opportunity to play these very basic but childhood shaping imaginative games?

My Cotton Cubby...is a portable cubbyhouse with designs for both boys and girls, so they can enjoy good old-fashioned imaginative play – either individually, with their siblings, friends and even their grandparents!  The great thing is the simplicity – you don’t need poles, just a table – everyone’s got a table, right? insatiable appetite for imaginative indoor play.
My Cotton Cubby was the brainchild of mother of two young children, Natalie Atkinson, was inspired by her daughter Rylee's insatiable appetite for imaginative indoor play. Always looking for  an alternative to computer games and eager to encourage stimulating, technology-free games, but tired of the mess some "creative" play leaves behind; she was inspired by the eternal magic that cubbyhouses have for both boys and girls, started to get creative...My Cotton Cubby is the result.

Wooly Mates - hand made toys and dryer balls made by a clever Aussie mum.

When Anna first contacted me, I had never heard of Wooly mates, I then checked out her website and was really pleased with her effort and creativity to make these 100% wool dryer balls and toys. The dryer balls help cut your drying time by at least 25% ( and it increases with the more balls you use ). They don't release any harmful chemicals when they are heated and are a natural alternative to dryer sheets.

Why did you start your business ?

I started my journey of chemical free living after falling pregnant with my first child. Aware of the dangers of having some incredibly toxic cleaners and air fresheners around my home. So I began by creating handmade wool dryer balls. This led on to creating beautiful bespoke wool felt nusery mobiles and decorations. Again, cutting out plastic toys my son would eventually start chewing on. And to realease my creative beast during the long days of SAHM.

What solutions do you offer ?

Wooly Mates laundry dryer balls offers an alernative to chemical laden fabric softeners while reducing drying time, which saves you money.
Our nursery mobiles offer an incredibly unique and beautiful option to the mass produced items. They are made with care and great attention to detail, while ensuring the colours and mobile 'friends' complement any existing nursery decor. And similarly, the decorations for holiday seasons around your home. Christmas, Easter...whatever you desire, we can create.

How are you different?

The attention to detail is second to none, with more and more patterns being designed by myself. I pride myself on providing outstanding customer service, as that is what I would expect as a customer. I rigorously test the quality of my creations, with pieces for my own children to ensure they can withstand little hands getting hold of them.
